Chiang Mai Countryside by Bike

Pedal across the city to the train station. Arriving at the historic Lamphun train station with our bikes, we disembark and soon find ourselves riding the quiet streets of the small city, which was once the capital of an ancient Mon Kingdom. Pedaling past its ancient walls to arrive at the famous Wat Phra That Hariphunchai with its imposing chedi. From here our bike tour strikes out across the countryside biking through villages, along canal and tree lined lanes. Enjoy a simple Thai lunch in a village market. After lunch we will cycle through paddy fields until we come upon the famous wood carving village of Ban Tawai. On from here we meander through country lanes to the foothills of Doi Suthep to a Beekeeping Center. After a few ups and downs on forested lanes we arrive at the forest temple of Wat Umong before returning to the city.
